Located in the county of Lincolnshire in the east of England. Spalding power station is a modern, efficient and flexible plant that began original commercial operations in 2004, with an upgrade to Advanced Gas Path Technology taking place in 2018.

The upgrade to the existing gas turbines was carried out by GE, achieving an uplift in efficiency and raising the potential power output of each turbine. The site is currently able to export 950MW, with scope for further increases, and is well placed to continue to generate reliable and flexible energy for the homes in the East of England.
