Karel brings 30 years of experience as an executive business leader, institutional investor, and strategic consultant.

Before joining InterGen UK, he was a partner at McKinsey&Company, working with global organisations across a number of industries on a multitude of topics. Subsequently he held several senior leadership positions including CEO and Board Member within Financial Services and Biotech industries. Most recently he worked as Investment Director at PPF, one of the largest institutional investors in Central Europe. He holds an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Karel served as Chair of the InterGen UK Board since the beginning of 2023 and now takes up the role of Interim CEO

Paul Sansom is a qualified UK Chartered Management Accountant and a member of the Association of UK Corporate Treasurers. Prior to joining InterGen he held senior finance roles with various blue-chip businesses, including PepsiCo, BMW Group and CFO of Viking Services. He has also held senior management positions in family group businesses in the Middle East and Operational Partner positions within Private Equity Funds. Paul holds a BA (Hons) Economics from City London.

A solicitor with 20 years’ experience in corporate and energy law. In private practice David advised clients in various sectors on mergers an acquisitions, corporate finance and joint ventures. He has experience across the energy sector, from upstream transportation and production to thermal and renewable power generation.

Before joining InterGen, David worked in private practice with Macfarlanes in London and McGrigors (now Pinsent Masons) in Edinburgh. He was previously regional counsel at InterGen, supporting our UK and Netherlands operating business.

Dan Fosberg has over 25 years of power generation experience and having starting his career as an engineering apprentice, he has held various senior positions including Engineering Manager, Production Manager, and Plant Manager across a range of power plants in the UK energy sector.

As a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Dan also holds an MSc in Engineering Maintenance and Asset Management and is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
